House Parents
Join us in providing a supportive home environment!House Parenting
The DSWD states that the job description of house parents is to be the closest link to the residents in the service delivery process.
At Nehemiah House, the staff believe that they don’t simply carry out their duties because it is their job, but because it is their passion to serve. The aim at Nehemiah House is to guide the children in their care towards the right path and direction as guided by God.
House parents shall seek to develop a close, supportive relationship with the residents in order to most effectively deliver the necessary services and support.
Fulfilling this role requires house parents to go beyond just completing tasks, and to invest themselves emotionally and spiritually in the wellbeing and growth of the children under their care.
Just as Nehemiah rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem despite facing many oppositions from enemies.
It is also the mission of Nehemiah House to rebuild the lives of these girls from the destruction brought by the enemy.
Care for the flock that God has entrusted to you. Watch over it willingly, not grudgingly—not for what you will get out of it, but because you are eager to serve God.
1 Peter 5:2-3 NLT
